Dear Sirs,

Argentina is traditionally faced with a great problem, extremely acute as we go to press: what side are we on?

The Army was trained by the Germans, the Navy by the Brits and the Air Force, by the Yanks. Furthermore, to add confusion to the melange, our worthy president fairly recently stated that we were really just a bunch of immigrants who arrived from Spain, but much better than Brazilians and Mexicans, who were dastardly natives. Not calculated to make friends and influence people. However, whilst we can lick the hell out of all-comers at polo, we can look the world in the face.

Relations with the IMF.? They actually want to see an economic plan. What next?

President Fernandez is travelling to Russia and China, in the near future. Good timing. Maybe they have a plan or three, for us. Veremos.
